Cattlemens Western Art Show and Sale
2017 Featured Artist, Vel Miller
The San Luis Obispo County Cattlemen’s Association is very honored to announce Vel Miller has been selected as the 2017 Featured Artist for their 27th Annual Western Art Show and Sale to be held at the Paso Robles Event Center in California.

Don Weller

Vel Miller's house/studio is a chest of treasures that sits atop one of our rolling California hills.  The ranch overlooks the Pacific Ocean some 15 miles away. The house, like the artist, is filled with memories of the most important things in life…people...mementos of  family, friends and mentors who have enriched her life. Texas Longhorn cattle and quarter horses graze her pastures and provide models for her work.

Her career has been filled with travel and wonderful family, friends and events. Her artwork inspired by her life experiences has enhanced her life and that of her collectors and those around her.

Ranching on the central coast, Vel continues to paint and sculpt the things she loves. Each piece she does has a story. Her Ronald Reagan  sculpture, Our American Legacy is displayed at the Ronald Reagan Ranch Museum. Her eight foot monument Reward For Valor is in front of the Safety Center in Paso Robles.

In painting and sculpting, Vel concentrates on the more emotional view of' the West. Vel says. "The most rugged and strongest people I've known have also been the kindest and most loving. This is the feeling I  try to portray whether it is animals or people I’ve known. I hope you enjoy my art and feel a part of the experience."

She is represented by Sculpterra Winery and Sculpture Garden.
